Film Still by Danny Sangra

Liza Voloshin is an artist and filmmaker based in New York City.

Working across digital and tactile mediums, Liza directs and produces films in conjunction with large scale immersive installations, creating intimate portraits that reflect sisterhood, the feminine allure, and magic in the everyday.

Previous works include the short film "The Age of Misinformation" in partnership with the Whitney Museum's 'Dreamlands' Exhibit, nominated for Best Experimental Film at the 2017 Fashion Film Festival Milano. Liza also creates large scale installations including the site-specific symphony-cantata entitled 'Her Voice' spread across Philip Johnson's historic Glass House in the Summer of 2016, 'Love Into Harmony': a public art installation in conjunction with 29 Rooms in the Autumn of 2016, and an immersive environment for the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in honor of Elaine de Kooning: Portraits in the Spring of 2015. Liza's original oil paintings inspired by the divine feminine debuted in private showings in the Spring of 2014 in Paris and New Orleans.

Dedicated to empowering women, Liza works alongside brands including American Express, Audi, Barneys New York, Estée Lauder, Gap Inc., Nike, and Standard Hotels, and creative institutions such as the Whitney Museum, the Glass House, and the Smithsonian Nartional Portrait Gallery. Liza is the Creative Director at large of Piece & Co., an organization that creates socially and environmentally responsible materials with female artisans around the world, and the co-founder of the all female arts collective chez conversations. Liza's work has been featured in Cultured Magazine, Departures Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Nowness, Paper Magazine, Refinery 29, Vogue Italia, Voyages d'Etudes, and W Magazine.
